Who you are buying from

This site sells The Distiller's Secret Book and the books that come with it: The Costco Whiskey Guide and The Distiller's Guide To Bourbon. Payment is taken by Gumroad, who act as the merchant of record, and their terms cover the payment itself.

What you get

Digital files: three PDFs. There is nothing physical and nothing is posted to you. Gumroad delivers the files by email and on the page you land on after paying, and keeps them in your Gumroad library so you can download them again.

What it costs

The price shown at checkout, in US dollars, taken once. There is no subscription and nothing renews. Any tax due is collected by Gumroad at checkout and shown before you pay.

Delivery

Straight away. The email is usually with you inside a couple of minutes. If it has not arrived, look in spam and under Promotions, and if it is still not there write to support@wadecooperdistiller.com and I will send it over.

Cancellation and refunds

Because the files are delivered immediately, the statutory cooling off period for digital content does not apply once you have started the download. It makes no practical difference here: I give thirty days to change your mind regardless, and you keep the books. The refund policy sets out how to ask.

What you may do with the books

Read them, print them for your own use, keep them on as many of your own devices as you like, and take a page to the store with you for the rest of your life. That is what they are for.

What you may not do

Resell them, give away copies, upload them anywhere, or pass them round a group. They are sold as a set and are not sold separately, and the copyright stays with me.

What the books are and are not

They are thirty four years on the making side, written down. They are buying advice and label reading for adults of legal drinking age, which is 21 in the United States. They are not medical advice, not legal advice about what your state allows, and not a guarantee of what any bottle will cost you where you live. Prices move, states differ, and a store can change what it stocks. The chapter on the pour and the count is about measuring what you drink, not a promise of how it will treat you. Use your own judgement, drink responsibly, and never drive after drinking.

If something is wrong with a file

Tell me and I will fix it. A faulty or misdescribed file gets replaced or refunded however long ago you bought it, and nothing on this page affects your legal rights.

Changes

If these terms change, the date at the bottom changes with them. The terms that apply to your purchase are the ones on this page on the day you bought.
